Rew
Rew is a sea turtle and an adult living with Tourette Syndrome. He explains what tics are, what they feel like, and what a day with TS actually looks like.
Our mission is to spread awareness of Tourette Syndrome and show that having TS is about much more than ticing.
Hollywood turned Tourette Syndrome into a punchline: someone yelling profanities. That tic is called coprolalia, and it affects only about 10% of people with TS. The tics are the tip of the iceberg. We are here to break that stigma.

Leo is a sea otter with Tourette Syndrome who wants more people to understand it. He asks the questions everyone is thinking and keeps things moving.

Coco is a sea turtle, a nurse, a mom, and a Tourette Syndrome advocate. She brings a nurse's knowledge and a mom's perspective, and she is not afraid to speak up.
Beyond The Tics does not take donations. If you want to help, give to the Tourette Association of America. They fund research, train doctors, and run support programs for people with Tourette Syndrome and their families.
We are not affiliated with the TAA. We just think they do the work that matters.
Tic explainers, co-occurring conditions, a nurse's take from Coco, and the occasional Rew and Leo adventure. Follow along and share with someone who needs it.
